The 8rh. Asian Pacific Knee Osteotomy Symposium（APKOS）開催にあたって。
このたび、The 8th. Asian Pacific Knee Osteotomy Symposium（第8回APKOS）を2026年1月31日～2月1日の2日間、長崎の出島メッセにて開催させていただく運びとなりました。このシンポジウムは2012年以来、日本と韓国のKnee Osteotomyに興味を持つドクターが交互にそれぞれの国において開催してきたシンポジウムです。コロナ感染症の蔓延に伴い５年間開催がありませんでしたが、この度2025年1月17日に韓国のデグにて第７回Korea-Japan Osteotomy Symposiumが催されました。Knee Osteotomyによる関節温存治療が世界的にも一般的な治療となりアジアにおいても興味を持つドクターが増える傾向があります。それに伴い本会を日本と韓国に限らずアジア太平洋地域に拡大して行うことが前回のデグでの会議で決まりました。また名称も先のように改称され、これまでの日韓の歴史を踏まえて次回は第８回目の開催となることも了承されました。
アジア太平洋地域を中心として海外よりKnee Osteotomy and Joint Preservation surgeryに興味を持つ多くの先生方にご参加いただき、実りあるシンポジウムを期待しています。関節温存を目指した多岐にわたる基礎的ならびに臨床的研究の最新の知見に関して、特別講演、シンポジウム、一般口演など様々なプログラムを企画しております。有意義な発表と討論を賜り、膝関節の機能的再生治療の発展に貢献したいと考えております。
The 8th Asian Pacific Knee Osteotomy Symposium (APKOS)
We are pleased to announce that The 8th Asian Pacific Knee Osteotomy Symposium (APKOS) will be held over two days, from January 31 to February 1, 2026, at Dejima Messe Nagasaki. This symposium has been held alternately in Japan and Korea since 2012, bringing together doctors with an interest in knee osteotomy.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the symposium had been on hiatus for five years. However, on January 17, 2025, the 7th Korea-Japan Osteotomy Symposium was successfully held in Daegu, Korea. As joint preservation treatment through knee osteotomy is becoming increasingly recognized worldwide, more doctors in Asia have shown growing interest in this field. Consequently, during the meeting in Daegu, it was decided to expand this symposium beyond Japan and Korea to include the entire Asia-Pacific region. Along with this expansion, the symposium has been renamed accordingly, and it was agreed that the upcoming meeting would be designated as the 8th edition based on the historical continuity of the Japan-Korea symposium.
We look forward to welcoming many doctors from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond who are interested in knee osteotomy and joint preservation surgery, making this symposium a fruitful and enriching experience. The program will feature special lectures, symposia, and general presentations, covering a wide range of basic and clinical research topics related to joint preservation. Through meaningful presentations and discussions, we aim to contribute to the advancement of functional regenerative treatment for the knee joint.
